Man extradited to ACT after 2022 stabbing in Stromlo

A 26-year-old Holt man has been extradited from NSW to face court relating the alleged serious stabbing of a man in December 2022.

Police allege that on the evening of 8 December 2022, the victim was driven to Uriarra Road, Stromlo and stabbed multiple times. He was left there bleeding heavily.

A passer-by located the victim on Uriarra Road and called emergency services.

Following an investigation, the 26-year-old Holt man was identified as the alleged offender and was subsequently located and imprisoned in NSW. He was released on parole earlier this week and on Thursday 4 January 2024, his extradition to the ACT was granted.  

He will face one charge of intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm when he appears in court this morning, 5 January.
