The finalists for the 2024 CBR Sport Awards were announced today, celebrating the achievements of Canberra’s top athletes, teams, and the broader sporting community.
On Wednesday 27 November, Canberra’s sports community will gather for the annual CBR Sport Awards at the Belconnen Arts Centre to honour the dedication driving local sport.
Minister for Sport and Recreation Yvette Berry shared her excitement for the nominees.
“It’s been an extraordinary year for sport, especially with the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris showcasing Canberrans on the global stage. Canberra is a vibrant sporting community and a launchpad for emerging talent. Congratulations to all the nominees and especially the finalists – you inspire young Canberrans with your hard work and passion for sport,” Minister Berry said.
Among the nominees are cyclist Michael Matthews, Capitals star Jade Melbourne and Paralympic champion Vanessa Low.
