The 2024 CBR Sport Awards, held last night at the Belconnen Arts Centre, brought together Canberra’s sporting community to honour the outstanding achievements of local athletes, teams, and contributors.
Minister for Sport and Recreation, Yvette Berry MLA, attended the event and presented awards to the winners.
“It was wonderful to come together with members of Canberra’s sporting community this evening to celebrate the excellence of Canberra sport, and I was honoured to once again have the opportunity to present awards to our outstanding champions and dedicated contributors from our sporting community,” Minister Berry said.
“Canberra is very much a sporting capital with the highest participation rates in the country. The CBR Sport Awards provide an opportunity each year to pay tribute to our local champions and acknowledge the high calibre of our local teams, community sporting groups and contributors. Congratulations to this year’s outstanding winners and to all the finalists who inspire others to follow in their lead.”
