ACT Road toll rises to 11 after fatal incident in Kambah car park

A 75-year-old woman has died following an incident in a Kambah car park today, bringing the 2024 ACT road toll to 11.

About 10:20am this morning, Monday 23 December, police and emergency services responded to reports of a vehicle colliding with a pedestrian in a carpark on Marconi Crescent in Kambah.

ACT Ambulance Service paramedics treated two people at the scene, one of which was the 75-year-old female driver of the vehicle involved in the incident.

She was transported to hospital in a critical condition however, she was declared deceased a short time later. The pedestrian received only minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.

ACT Policing’s Major Collision Team is investigating the complicated circumstances of this incident.
