A 47-year-old male doctor from Red Hill is set to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court today, facing 20 charges against four women, including sexual intercourse without consent.
Police allege the offences took place between 2021 and 2024, targeting employees of the man’s Garran medical practice. The alleged incidents reportedly occurred in Canberra, interstate, and overseas, often during business trips and work functions.
The investigation commenced in January 2024, and yesterday, 23 January, investigators from the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Team executed search warrants at the manโs residence and business premises.
The charges include six counts of aggravated common assault, two counts of sexual intercourse without consent, seven counts of acts of indecency without consent, and two counts of using a carriage service to menace, harass, or cause offence.
