ACT residents continue to return by road from Victoria

Yesterday the ACT welcomed home another 22 ACT residents returning from Victoria by car, travelling in 20 vehicles. This follows the first group of 29 people travelling from Wodonga in 17 cars on Thursday 13 August and 11 ACT residents in nine cars on Friday 14 August.

ACT residents with an Entry Authorisation Certificate issued by the ACT Chief Health Officer are able to cross the NSW/Vic border between 9am and 11.30am daily until Monday 17 August inclusive, must follow the special travel rules and arrive at the Reception Centre in Hall by 3pm the same day.

Returning residents immediately begin 14 days quarantine and are being supported by ACT Health during this time.

Any Canberrans still in Victoria are reminded of the requirement to notify ACT Health before returning to the ACT. For more information on the legal requirements for quarantine and for information for travellers entering the ACT, visit covid19.act.gov.au/community/travel

The ACT continues to record no new cases and has no active cases of COVID-19.
