Alicia Payne MP welcomes second child

Labor Member for Canberra, Alicia Payne MP, has given birth to her second child, a daughter named Elena Patricia Phillips, at Canberra Hospital on Monday 14 September.

A press statement from the MP’s office stated: “Alicia and Ben are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter, born at 7.13am on Monday morning at Canberra Hospital, weighing 3.48kg. Baby and mum are doing well, and Paul is very excited to have a little sister.

“Thanks to the team at the Canberra Hospital for providing baby Elena and I with world-class care. Every day they are involved in what is a momentous day for families. The professionalism and heart they put into it makes all the difference,” Alicia Payne said.
