Police to search Mulligans Flat Reserve in relation to missing person

ACT Policing and some ACT SES members will search a large area of Mulligans Flat Reserve this weekend, 19-20 September, in relation to long-term missing person.

Jean Policarpio has not been seen since leaving his family home in Bonner on 26 September 2017.

The search area will encompass the Mulligans Flat nature reserve behind Bonner and Throsby towards the New South Wales border.

Police have made the decision to conduct this search following a re-examination of all information available in the case. This search will be a concentrated effort to locate fresh evidence in the matter.

Jean’s family has been informed the search is taking place this weekend.

Members of the public in the area are likely to see up to 50 people involved in the search at Mulligans Flat between 7am and 5pm on both days of the weekend.

Search activity in this area is also anticipated on the weekend of 26-27 September in relation to the same matter.

The police investigation into Jean’s disappearance remains active.
