Check your tickets! A Canberra resident or visitor has picked up Oz Lotto’s $11.2 million jackpot drawn last night with a ticket bought at Charnwood – but it appears they just haven’t realised it yet.
The mystery ACT ticketholder held the only division one winning entry nationally in Oz Lotto draw 1390, drawn Tuesday 6 October. They take home the entire division one prize of $11,283,854.81.
The multi-million-dollar winning entry was unregistered, so officials from The Lott have no way of contacting the winner and have to wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.
The winning ticket was purchased at Charnwood Newsagency, where newsagency owner Stephen Dowling said they couldn’t wait to unite their winner with their prize.
“We’re asking everyone to check their tickets,” he said.
“We will greet our winner with open arms. We really hope they come forward soon.
“I can’t wait to see the smile on their face!”
The Lott spokesperson Lauren Cooney said all ACT players who purchased an entry into last night’s Oz Lotto draw at Charnwood Newsagency should check their tickets today.
“Imagine waking up this morning and going about your usual Wednesday chores with no idea you’ve won $11 million,” she said.
“It’s possible this mystery winner is still unaware they’re suddenly a multi-millionaire. Maybe they’ve shown up to work this morning when they could be resigning and planning an early retirement.
“You can check your entries in-store, online at thelott.com, or via The Lott app. If you do realise you’re the division one winner we’re searching for, please call us on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”
