Canberra’s very own magic store is heading to Sydney! Quizzic Alley will be taking over the original Bank of New South Wales building in Drummoyne, turning it into a magical mecca of licensed Harry Potter merchandise. Quizzic Alley’s owner, Australian gold-medal Paralympian skier Michael Milton – or Nearly Legless Mick to the witches and wizards of Canberra – says a lot of ‘Potterheads’ from Sydney had been making the trip to Canberra to get their magic fix. “They keep asking us to open another store so we’re excited to be bringing the magic a whole lot closer to a lot more fans,” he says. “The two stores are completely different from the outside and, although the merch we sell will be the same, the experience in Drummoyne will be new.” Mick hopes to open the Sydney store in the first week of December.
