If you’re in a suburb that normally has wheelie bin collections on a Friday, this weekend they’ll take place on Saturday 3 April due to the Good Friday public holiday, 2 April.
There will also be changes to public transport timetables and library services across Canberra this coming Easter long weekend, 2-5 April, as per the usual practice.

Household waste collections for Monday 5 April will proceed as usual.
Public transport
Transport Canberra and Canberra Metro Operations (CMET) will run to a Sunday timetable and frequency for the following dates:
- Friday 2 April – Good Friday
- Sunday 4 April – Easter Sunday
- Monday 5 April – Easter Monday
Saturday 3 April will continue to operate to a Saturday timetable and frequency.
Passengers can use a MyWay Card that is topped up with sufficient funds to travel to ensure they receive the cheapest fare. Passengers are encouraged register their MyWay card.
Passengers are reminded to only use public transport for essential travel and to consider travelling on off-peak periods where possible to help avoid crowding. Additionally, to keep the drivers stay safe, passengers must enter and exit the bus via the rear doors at all stops.

Libraries ACT
All library branches and return chutes are closed over Easter from Good Friday 2 April till Monday 5 April.
Online services will remain available for library users.

Domestic Animal Services
The Domestic Animal Services shelter at Symonston will be closed on Good Friday 2 April and Easter Monday 5 April. Rangers will continue to respond to any call outs and residents can call Access Canberra on 13 22 81 to report a dog attack or injured dog or cat.
