Jack Wighton and Josh Hodgson will return from suspension for the Canberra Raiders clash with the Sydney Roosters in Gosford on Saturday night.

The pair missed the Raiders loss to the Storm last week but will be handy inclusions as the side looks to get back on track.

Sam Williams will partner Wighton in the halves after the Raiders granted George Williams an immediate release from the club.

Hodgson has been named on the bench with last week’s debutant Brad Schneider dropping to the reserves.

Jordan Rapana has also been named to return from injury in place of Semi Valemei on the wing.

Sia Soliola returns on the bench with Hudson Young dropped to the reserves, while Joe Tapine is still at least a week away from returning.

The Raiders received some bad news during the week with fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad requiring neck surgery that will sideline him for the remainder of the season.

The Roosters will be without Victor Radley for the clash after he received a three-match suspension for two separate incidents. The club are seeking a downgrade on one of the charges, but he will still miss two matches if successful.

Angus Crichton has been named in the side despite being slapped with a two-game suspension for a dangerous-contact charge. The Roosters are also fighting his ban and he will be free to play if successful.

Josh Morris returns in the centres with young Joseph Suaalii dropping back to the reserves.

Isaac Liu moves into the 13 jumper vacated by Radley with Daniel Suluka-Fifita coming onto the bench.
