Tanya Hennessy is a comedian, radio announcer, TV presenter, multi-bestselling author and social media sensation with a Facebook following of more than 1 million people. Tanya has appeared on myriad TV shows including I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Hughesy! We Have a Problem, The Project and Drunk History, just to name a few. In 2018 Tanya wrote her first book, Am I Doing This Right? Her second book, Help Self, was released in November 2020. In May 2021, Tanya wrote her debut junior fiction book Drum Roll Please, It’s Stevie Louise, with another ‘Stevie’ book in the works. An ambassador for Priceline Pharmacy, Tanya has teamed up with their cosmetics brand Models Prefer and has released two makeup lines. She has also been named the 2021 Charles Sturt University Young Alumni of the Year. In 2019, Tanya embarked on her first live comedy tour, Low Expectations,selling out 27 venues around the country. Originally from Newcastle, Tanya began her radio career in 2012 and continued to 2019, which included a stint on Canberra’s hit104.7. She has two ACRA awards to her name: Best Entertainment Presenter and Best Documentary.

My huge piece of art I got after I had an epic year in 2017, when I lived in Canberra. It was the year that changed my life and I wanted to commemorate it and this piece of art is a reminder of hard work pays off. The artwork is by Katie McKinnon.
MY MAKEUP LINE
My makeup line with Models Prefer, The Carb Collection…Again – it’s a huge deal to have one makeup collaboration with a brand and I have somehow managed to wrangle two! This was such a huge learning arc for me, and two years in the making. I loved learning about makeup manufacturing and using my creativity and comedy to create the ultimate inclusive makeup line!
SHOE COLLECTION
I’m obsessed with shoes, I love them! I have way too many, they make me so happy! I prefer to wear sneakers over any shoes but I do the occasional heel, although I usually last three minutes in them!
CANDLES AND CRYSTALS
I’m such a hippy at heart, I love how relaxing candles are and I am all about a crystal in the bra! I have an uncomfortable amount of both!
PEN AND PAPER/LAPTOP
All I need is a laptop or a pen and paper to write, writing is my favourite thing in the world. I love sitting and writing, I write every day. When I was on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, the thing I missed most was being able to write. I used to write with a stick in the dirt until I was told not to!
