New COVID-19 venues of concern in Batemans Bay and Cooma

As a result of more positive COVID-19 cases in the Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD), a number of new venues of concern have been announced in Batemans Bay and Cooma.

The Deputy Premier of NSW John Barilaro announced one new case of COVID-19 in both Batemans Bay and Cooma this morning, 8 September.

The case in Batemans Bay is a household contact of the existing case there while investigations are ongoing into the source of the Cooma case.

The SNSWLHD’s Public Health Unit are working with the venues to inform close contacts and provide rapid swabbing where appropriate.

Anyone who was present at one of these venues at the times listed below is considered a casual contact and should get tested and isolate immediately.

Batemans Bay venues of concern

  • Dan Murphy’s, 51/53A Orient Street on Saturday 4 September from 9am to 10am
  • Post Office, 7 Orient Street on Saturday 4 September from 9am to 9.10am
  • Woolworths, 9-13 Clyde Street on Saturday 4 September from 8am to 9.30am
  • Woolworths, 9-13 Clyde Street on Friday 3 September from 8am to 9am

Cooma venues of concern

  • Alpine Hotel, 170 Sharp Street on Saturday 4 September from 12pm to 12.45pm
  • China Town Chinese Restaurant, 76 Sharp Street on Saturday 4 September from 11.40am to 11.58am
  • Metro 24 hours Petrol, 42 Sharp Street on Saturday 4 September from 9.50am to 10am
  • China Town Chinese Restaurant, 76 Sharp Street on Thursday 2 September from 5.15pm to 5.50pm
  • Metro 24 hours Petrol, 42 Sharp Street on Thursday 2 September from 7.15pm to 7.25pm
