Nine new COVID-19 cases detected in Queanbeyan

Queanbeyan has recorded a high of nine new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8pm last night as Southern NSW records 14 total new cases.

Eight of the new cases in Queanbeyan have been linked with one still under investigation.

The other five cases are all in Goulburn with four of them linked and one under investigation.

The 14 new cases in the takes the total number of cases in the Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) during the current outbreak to 132.

There are currently 116 active cases in the SNSWLHD region with 16 having recovered. Four people are currently in hospital with the virus.

The areas with the most active cases are Queanbeyan (36), Goulburn (34) and Batemans Bay (23).
