GIVIT donation of the week: Experience vouchers
GIVIT is currently working with several registered charities and support organisations across the region who are seeking funds for ‘experience’ vouchers for children and families to enjoy over the Christmas break. For these families, an afternoon at the movies, a day at the zoo, a swim at Big Splash Waterpark, ten pin bowling or lunch at the local café, would be a dream come true and help to provide enjoyment and quality time together. It is often children who are most impacted by crisis but with your help, these children can still have the Christmas they deserve. The organisations seeking funds for experience vouchers are committed to supporting vulnerable families, children and individuals who have been impacted by crisis including domestic and family violence, economic hardship, homelessness, mental health, and illness. GIVIT is calling on generous Canberrans to help fund a request for one or more experience vouchers and help bring some Christmas cheer to those doing it tough. To donate, visit givit.org.au/whats-needed, search category ‘Vouchers’, location ‘ACT’. After you pledge the item, you will be contacted by the relevant organisation to arrange pick-up, post or drop-off.
