140 new COVID cases in Queanbeyan, 374 in Southern NSW

The Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) has recorded 374 COVID-19 cases with 140 infections coming in Queanbeyan.

Today’s numbers are up from yesterday’s 308 COVID cases in Southern NSW and 55 in Queanbeyan.

The number of people in hospital with the virus has remained at nine with two people in the ICU. 51 people are under active care, down from 76 yesterday.

There are now 2,993 active COVID cases in the SNSWLHD with the total number of infections up to 3,938 since the start of the outbreak in June.

The Queanbeyan Palerang LGA recorded 140 new COVID-19 cases.

Bega Valley LGA has 62 new infections.

Goulburn Mulwaree LGA recorded 54 new cases.

Yass Valley LGA reported 47 COVID-19 cases.

Snowy Monaro LGA has 32 new COVID infections.

Eurobodalla LGA has 27 new cases.

Upper Lachlan reported 12 new cases.

Meanwhile, NSW recorded its most COVID-related deaths of the pandemic with 18 as 20,293 new infections were recorded from PCR tests.

Canberra reported 938 new COVID-19 cases as the number of people in hospital with the virus dropped by two to 25.
