Launch into school holiday fun at Marketplace Gungahlin

Looking for some free, out-of-this-world fun that will spark your children’s imaginations? Then head to Marketplace Gungahlin where they’re set to launch their new stellar school holidays program, free for The Hub members.

Every day from Wednesday 19 to Sunday 30 January, at 11am, 12pm and 1pm, your little stars will shine at the exciting range of fun school holiday activities in the space outside Big W. Even on weekends and public holidays!

Activities change after three days, so there’s plenty of opportunities to try something new. Try one, or try all four space-themed activities!

Here’s what’s in store:

Wednesday 19 – Friday 21 January
Solar System Mobiles: Colour in all the planets and put together your very own solar system mobile. Hang it somewhere fun and watch the planets rotate around the Sun. This activity is educational and fun!

Saturday 22 – Monday 24 January
Galaxy Slime: Make your own galaxy slime, add some glitter and space colours and mix it together to look just like something from outer space.

Tuesday 25 – Thursday 27 January
Alien Headbands: Build your own Alien headband, using googly eyes, pom poms and all the fuzzy outer space pieces to design your own alien. How many eyes will your alien have?

Friday 28 – Sunday 30 January
Space Straws: Blast into your next drink with your own space straws! Colour in your rockets and glue them onto your own paper straws. We might even be able to share the recipe for our favourite outer space milkshake (shhhhh).

The program is free for The Hub members (sign up here for free) and bookings are essential (capacity for walk-ins is limited).
