The COVID testing facility at Holt will be closed on Monday 17 January, while Kambah will continue to distribute rapid antigen tests (RAT).

ACT Health announced said that the Holt closure is due to “ongoing supply issue of materials needed to conduct COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests.”

People presenting to Kambah to collect RATs will be required to complete a declaration upon arrival that they meet the criteria to be tested.

The criteria includes people who are household contacts of a confirmed case, are at high or moderate risk of contracting COVID-19 or who have been instructed by ACT Health to get a test.

People will be given two RAT kits and instructions on when the second test will need to be undertaken.

Those who return a positive RAT results will be required to isolate immediately, register their positive result using the online form, and follow all further instructions on the website for people who test positive to COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the Gold Creek clinic will be relocated back to its previous location at Perce Douglas Memorial Playing Fields as the school is preparing for the return of students in coming weeks. It will operate on Monday for reduced hours from 8am to 1pm, due to the limited supplies available.
