Canberra’s Sunday Best, the Old Bus Depot Markets, will be returning this Sunday 20 March.
After a two-year break, the Markets will be back to bring you more of what you love. Local and small businesses showcasing their handcrafted goods and lots of fresh produce. There will be some of the Markets’ original favourites, as well as new faces.
For the first Market back, visitors can find Carol’s Creations. (Fun fact, Carol was at the very first Old Bus Depot Market!) Carol designs and handcrafts a broad range of jewellery including high-quality gold, silver, and children’s pieces.
Cheeky Mutts by Rochelle Hart have been producing collars for over 10 years in Canberra. Cheeky Mutts has your best fur-friend covered, offering collars and Australian grown treats.
213 Art by Matthew & Louise bring you original, high-quality resin products inspired by the graphic novels and comics of the 1950s, and Pop Art of the 1960s.
Di Taylor from Baa Boots has your feet covered, selling Australian-made ugg boots, slippers, scuffs and moccasins with a full range of children’s slippers.
Cannoli Brothers will be supplying fresh and locally-made cannoli. And Burek Bakery, a family run Canberra bakery, will have Burek and other Eastern European pastries and goodies, while Deda’s Smokehouse will keep your tastebuds happy with locally made salami.
If it’s an interesting beverage you’re seeking, Unicorn Spirits brings you a unique shimmering and colour-changing vodka liqueur. Plus, there’s plenty more food and beverage offerings at Markets.
The Markets’ popular themed days will also be returning, slightly refreshed. And they aren’t the only thing that’s had a refresh since the Markets closed in 2020. The beautiful heritage building has undergone a few upgrades and the stallholders and Market Managers can’t wait to show it off, and to welcome Canberrans back and get the Markets buzzing again each Sunday.
With stallholders – both new and returning favourites – artisan goods, fresh produce, new amenities and building upgrades, be sure not to miss the reopening of Old Bus Depot Market, this Sunday 20 March, with new opening hours 9.30am–2.30pm Sundays.
