Tasty Easter treats and collectables at Old Bus Depot Markets Easter Sunday

What are your plans this Easter? If you’re staying in Canberra, you may be up for a mix of spending time with family, getting out and about in Canberra’s glorious autumn weather, and enjoying Easter treats and an extra-long weekend.

If you’re looking for a great day out on Easter Sunday, the Old Bus Depot Markets is open for a special Easter Market on Sunday 17 April, with a little bit of something for the whole family.

“It’s become quite a lovely tradition for families to come out and enjoy the vibrant Markets atmosphere on Easter Sunday,” said Old Bus Depot Markets Manager, Richard Vagi.

“Bring the kids in to see the Easter Bunny who will be hopping around the Markets all day. The kids can score some free chocolate eggs while his basket is still full,” Richard continued.

Easter is traditionally the time when the Markets host their Portobello Road Market, so after a hunt for eggs, head off to hunt for collectables. This year there will be vinyls, vintage clothing, toys, jewellery, small antiques and recycled/upcycled furniture.

It’s also a great day to enjoy Easter treats and fresh produce. Junee Licorice & Chocolate Factory will have plenty of yummy sweet treats on offer including half chocolate eggs filled with all manner of flavours, Capital Shaved Ice will have vibrant and refreshing snow cones, and Chimmi has super tasty Argentinian street food.

If it’s fresh produce you’re after, you can’t go past all the fresh, in-season fruit and vegetables from Hill Lock Orchard. Fill your baskets and create your own healthy Easter Sunday feast at home.

Old Bus Depot Markets is open Easter Sunday, 9.30am – 2.30pm. For more information head to www.obdm.com.au, or follow on Facebook or Instagram for stallholder updates.
