ACT builders win top gongs at national awards

In a first for the ACT, Master Builders ACT member, Manteena Residential has been named the National Residential Master Builder of the Year for their stunning four-wing home in Forrest, which was last year awarded the Master Builders ACT 2021 House of the Year.

Created by Manteena Residential, Architects Ring & Associates, and The Dept. of Design, the home also took out the National Project Home (over $2 million) category at the 2021 National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards held in Cairns, Queensland on 30 April.

Master Builders ACT members also received two other accolades: the National Project Home ($1 million to $2 million) award went to Brother Projects for a home in Pearce; while the National Medium Density (2 to 5 Dwellings) gong went to Taylor & Knowles and DNA Architects for Batacara in Braddon.

Master Builders ACT CEO, Michael Hopkins said, “Every year the standard of quality and craftsmanship of ACT projects in the spotlight at the National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards is amplified.”

“This is the first time an ACT builder has won the National Residential Master Builder of the Year award,” Mr Hopkins said.

“This demonstrates that Canberra builders are leading the nation on building quality, commitment to safety, sustainability and innovation.

“Congratulations go to all of the ACT winners at the national awards,” he said.
