Police seek witnesses to Monaro Highway collision

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses or dashcam footage of a collision that occurred on the Monaro Highway resulting in one car flipping onto its side.

About 4:50pm on Friday 29 July, officers attended a multi-vehicle collision at the intersection of Sheppard Street and Monaro Highway in Hume following reports of significant delays during peak-hour traffic.

Police received reports that a White Hyundai iLoad collided into the rear of a grey Mazda BT50 and while the driver sustained minor injuries, both vehicles had significant damage.

It has been alleged that a silver sedan and a gold-ish-yellow hatchback (immediately in front of the vehicles) were involved in the collision.

Police encourage the drivers of either of these vehicles to come forward and are seeking witnesses or dashcam footage available of the incident.

Members of the public are encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
