UPDATE: missing boy Wahed Omrani found safe

UPDATE: Great news Canberrs – Wahed’s been located safe and well. Thanks for your assistance. 


ACT Policing is seeking the public’s assistance to locate missing 14-year-old boy Wahed Omrani.  

Wahed was last seen in Gungahlin about 5am on Tuesday 18 April and has not been seen by his family since about 7pm on Monday 17 April.  

He is described as being of Middle Eastern appearance, about 168cm (5’6”) tall, with a slim build, olive complexion, short dark hair, and dark eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper with red writing across the front.  

Police and Wahed’s family hold concerns for his welfare and are requesting the public’s assistance in locating him.  

Anyone who has seen Wahed or who may have information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact ACT Policing Operations on 131 444. Please quote reference number 7408246. Information can be provided anonymously.
