ACT passes 50,000 total COVID cases, 692 new infections

The ACT has passed 50,000 total COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic as 692 new cases were recorded in the latest update.

The total number of infections since March 2020 in the ACT is now up to 50,214 with 34 virus-related deaths.

There are 45 people in hospital with the virus, none are in ICU or requiring ventilation.

67.8 per cent of ACT residents aged 16 and over have received three doses of a COVID vaccine while 78.4 per cent of children aged between 5 and 11 have received a single dose.

There are currently 3,389 active cases in the ACT.
