ACT Policing investigate death of 92-year-old woman in Fisher

A 92-year-old man has been taken into custody after the death of a 92-year-old woman in Fisher.

About 2.40pm today, Monday 31 July, police were called to a residence in Fisher after a care worker on a scheduled visit located the deceased woman in the home.  

A 92-year-old man who is known to the woman has been taken into custody and is assisting police with enquiries. Police do not believe any other person was involved in the matter and there is no threat to the community.  

At this stage, no charges have been laid.  

Investigations are ongoing, and police are expected to remain at the residence for some time.
