ACT Policing investigate suspicious Hackett fire

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a suspicious fire at an administration building in Hackett on Sunday 17 September. 

About 4.30am, ACT Fire & Rescue attended the fire on Maitland Street, Hackett and extinguished the flames, however the building sustained structural and smoke damage. 

Following an examination of the scene, the fire was deemed suspicious, and police are now investigating the circumstances of the incident. 

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed suspicious activity on Maitland Street prior to 4.20am on Sunday, or who may have any information regarding the incident.  

Anyone with information that can assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website quoting reference 7539951. Information can be provided anonymously.
