ACT records 458 new COVID cases, one death

The ACT has recorded 458 new COVID cases and the death of a man in his 80s with the virus in the latest update.

It takes the number of virus-related deaths in Canberra to 33 from 45,086 total cases since the start of the pandemic.

There are now 37 people in hospital with the virus, one is in intensive care and requiring ventilation.

Almost two-thirds (64.7 per cent) of ACT residents aged 16 and over have received three doses of the vaccine, while 77.5 per cent of ACT children aged between five and 11 have received one shot.
