ACT records 478 COVID cases

The ACT has recorded 478 new COVID cases in the latest update.

There are 41 people in hospital with the virus, just two are in intensive care with none requiring ventilation.

There are now 3,922 active cases in Canberra.

The ACT has recorded a total of 48,670 COVID-19 cases throughout the pandemic and 33 virus-related deaths, a death rate of 0.068 per cent.

The news comes after mask mandates were eased in the ACT as of 6pm last night, click here for all the current rules.

Meanwhile, NSW reported 7017 new COVID-19 cases and 11 deaths.
