ACT records 529 new COVID cases, 63 hospitalisations, 1 in ICU

Sixty-three patients are in ACT hospitals with COVID-19, one of whom is being ventilated in intensive care, as the ACT recorded no deaths and 529 new cases in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday.

The new cases were split between 317 PCR tests and 212 rapid antigen tests. 

There are 3,183 active cases in the ACT, bringing the total number of cases to 37,362 since the pandemic began in Australia in March 2020.

In that time, the ACT has recorded a total of 26 deaths with Coronavirus, representing a death rate of 0.0696 per cent among those who test positive.

More than half (51.8 per cent) of ACT residents aged 18 and over have received their third vaccine, while 98.6 per cent of ACT residents aged 12 and over are fully vaccinated (two shots).

Meanwhile, 71.2 per cent of ACT children aged 5-11 years have received one dose.
