ACT records 696 new COVID cases

The ACT has recorded 696 new COVID cases in the latest update as the number of people in hospital rose slightly.

Of the new cases, 375 are from PCR tests and 321 from RATs.

The ACT has now recorded 53,607 total COVID-19 cases since March 2020 and 34 virus-related deaths.

There are currently 4,180 active cases in the ACT.

There are 39 people in hospital with the virus, two are in intensive care with one requiring ventilation.

68.7 per cent of ACT residents aged 15 and over have received three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine and 78.6 per cent of children aged between 5 and 11 have received one dose.
