The ACT has recorded its third road fatality following the death of a 78-year-old woman involved in a two-vehicle collision on Thursday 25 February in Isabella Plains, ACT Policing reported yesterday.
About 8.50pm on Thursday, emergency services were called to the two-vehicle collision between a Nissan Pulsar and a Ford Ranger at the intersection of Drakeford Drive and Noorooma Street.
The 78-year-old driver of a Nissan Pulsar was extracted from her vehicle and emergency first aid was provided.
ACT Ambulance Service paramedics transported the woman to hospital where she was assessed as having suffered a non-survivable head injury. Sadly, she died on Friday night, 26 February.
The other driver was assessed by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics and transported to hospital.
ACT Road Policing’s Major Collision Team attended the collision scene and will conduct an investigation of the circumstances of the collision. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
