The ACT has recorded four wins in the Real Estate Institute of Australia’s (REIA) National Awards for Excellence.
Guy Randell of Burgess Rawson was named Commercial Salesperson of the Year, while Independent took out three awards. From Independent Property Management, Hannah Gill was awarded the Operational Leadership Award while Kimberly Nugent was named Residential Property Manager of the Year. Independent also took out the 2020 Innovation Award.
REIA president Adrian Kelly said every State and Territory was represented in the winners, highlighting the “outstanding achievers” Australia-wide.
“I congratulate the winners for their hard work which has earned them their awards,” he said.
The ACT was represented with finalists in 16 of the 20 award categories. The awards were scheduled to be held in Darwin in April, but were cancelled by REIA after initially being postponed until October.
Kelly said while the cancellation was disappointing, it was inevitable due to safety and wellbeing concerns.
“Postponing the Awards until October is still too risky when we don’t know what the future holds, particularly in terms of public gatherings and aircraft travel,” he said.
