Alleged ACT President of Rebels bikers gang arrested in Braddon

Taskforce Nemesis officers have executed a search warrant on a 50-year-old man alleged to be the ACT President and National Sergeant-at-Arms of the Rebels outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG).

Yesterday, Thursday, 23 December, the search warrant was executed in Braddon during which a Chrysler 300C sedan and mobile telephone were seized by police.

The 50-year-old Wollogorang NSW man was arrested and charged with telecommunications offences and given bail (with conditions) to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court on 21 February 2022.

It will be alleged the Chrysler was purchased with the proceeds of crime and was owned by a second member of the Rebels OMCG, who was charged in November 2021 with multiple unrelated offences.

ACT Policing and Taskforce Nemesis will continue to focus efforts on preserving the safety and security of the community by targeting the criminal activities of OMCGs in the ACT and surrounding region.

Anyone who may have any information about OMCG activity in the ACT can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Information can be provided anonymously.
