The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) have received nearly 800 calls for help following the wild storm in Canberra on Monday afternoon.

There were reports of trees falling on homes and roads, fallen powerlines, localised flooding, and water damage with Belconnen and Gungahlin the hardest hit areas. Videos on social media even showed large hailstones teaming down in certain areas.

Staff and volunteers from the ACT Emergency Services Agency are being supported by Transport Canberra & City Services, the NSW State Emergency Service, and ACT Policing Search & Rescue as they continue to to respond to these calls for assistance.

There is also more unsettled weather precited in Canberra later this week, with the Bureau of Meteorology forecasting plenty of rain during the week and possible storms on Friday and Saturday.
