Over the past 18 months, club officials have assisted police with their investigations. On 5 February, police executed search warrants and arrested the man who was formerly associated with GUFC. The man will face court on 109 counts of obtaining property by deception exceeding $112,000. Police believe the man acted alone. Further charges are expected to be laid.
