Property rights are one of the cornerstones of Australian democracy. It goes without saying that a private individual, family or company can own property and use it for pretty much any legal purpose.
Private businesses are a really important part of Canberra. Although we’re known as a public service town, the reality is that nearly two-thirds of Canberrans actually work for a private business.
Over the last few weeks, I’ve had three different frontline customer service people from completely different businesses randomly but explicitly thank me for being polite, and for being understanding and patient.
