A driver from Belconnen has registered one of the highest blood alcohol levels ever documented in the ACT following a stop in Strathnairn.
About 2am on Saturday 1 June in Strathnairn, Belconnen general duties officers saw a Toyota Corolla driving erratically.
The car was pulled over and the 36-year-old driver was breath tested – recording a near fatal level of .443.
He was issued a 90-day immediate suspension notice and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
ACT Policing reminds all drivers that impaired driving is one of the ‘fatal five’ causes of deaths on our roads. If you are going to drink, please don’t drive.
