Belconnen man claims ‘overwhelming’ $2m Lotto win

A Belconnen man is itching to begin the hunt for his first home after bagging $2 million in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto Megadraw.

The ACT resident held one of the 15 division one winning entries nationally and said he was overwhelmed by the life-changing win.

“I’m still quite emotional about it, mate,” the winner revealed.

“I start to think about what this win will do for me and my family and it’s really overwhelming!

“I couldn’t believe it when I realised! I kept asking myself, ‘is this real? It’s unbelievable!”

“I’m going to pay off some debt, share it with some family and friends and then I’ll buy my first home!

“I can’t wait to start shopping around. It’s going to be so exciting.

“What an amazing weekend to win too. I love the fact that I get to share this life-changing win with so many other Australians.

“Hopefully it helps a lot of people!”
