Body of woman discovered following Downer house fire

The body of a woman has been located in a house in Atherton Street, Downer following a small fire early this morning.  

Emergency services were called to the home about 6am today, Saturday 13 March.

ACT Fire and Rescue officers extinguished a small fire in one room of the house.

The woman’s body was located a short time later and an investigation into this incident has now commenced.
