The Chilling by Riley James

However, things quickly go awry when Kit and her colleagues rescue the amnesiac survivor of a shipwreck, Nick Coltheart. Arriving at Macpherson, it becomes clear that Nick is hiding something about the events on his ship, and Kit needs to discover his secrets before it’s too late. The Chilling is a gripping and captivating debut from new Australian author Riley James. Featuring a powerful atmosphere and making excellent use of its bleak setting, The Chilling is an awesome book that comes highly recommended.

Witness 8 by Steve Cavanagh

The Youngest Son by John Byres

Following the intriguing lives of three damaged siblings as they experience the various turmoils of 20th-century Sydney, The Youngest Son is an outstanding book with some real heart to it.
