The Brumbies have shot to the top of the Australian conference with a bonus point win over the Sunwolves on Sunday 12 May at GIO Stadium Canberra.
The match was tightly contested early before the Brumbies found room to move. The home side racking up five tries, including a double to Henry Speight, as they cruised to the 33-0 victory.
The win was the Brumbies’ fifth in a row at home and keeps their finals hopes alive as they currently sit one point clear on top of the Australian conference.
The Brumbies host the Bulls at GIO Stadium on Friday 24 May 7.45pm.
In other news, Brumbies flanker Tom Cusack has signed a new contract keeping him at the club until the end of 2021. The club has also signed highly promising former Australian Schoolboys lock forward Nick Frost from the Crusaders Development Program.
The 19-year-old, a 205cm second rower, has signed for the 2020 and 2021 seasons and has already joined the Brumbies program to further his development throughout the year.

Raiders fall short
The Canberra Raiders showed plenty of fight in their 30-24 loss to the Sydney Roosters at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday 12 May as part of the NRL’s Magic Round.
The Green Machine fought back from an 18-point halftime deficit but were unable to reel in their opposition.
There is an injury concern for Jordan Rapana from the match. The club also announced last week that Joey Leilua will likely be out for the remainder of the season, requiring surgery on a neck injury.

Brave win on the road
The CBR Brave recorded a perfect weekend in the Australian Ice Hockey League defeating the Perth Thunder twice by a 5-1 margin.
The Brave return home to take on the Sydney Ice Dogs at the Phillip Swimming and Ice Skating Centre on Saturday 18 May 5.30pm.
Bates tops podium
Local driver Harry Bates made it two wins from two rallies taking out the Netier National Capital Rally on Saturday 11 May with co-driver John McCarthy. The duo claimed seven out of eight stage wins across the two heats for the victory.
