Canberra records 562 new COVID-19 cases

Canberra has recorded 562 new COVID-19 cases in the latest update as the number of people in hospital dropped by three.

Of the new cases, 285 were from PCR tests and 277 from RATs.

There are currently 4,227 active cases in Canberra.

The ACT has now recorded 54,149 total COVID-19 infections since the start of the pandemic and 34 virus-related deaths.

There are now 36 people in hospital with the virus, two are in intensive care with one requiring ventilation.

68.7 per cent of ACT residents aged 16 and over have received three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine and 78.6 per cent of children aged between 5 and 11 have received one dose.
