Chevy Stewart named at fullback for Raiders, set to make NRL debut

18-year-old Chevy Stewart will make his NRL debut after being named at fullback for the Raiders clash with the Titans in Canberra on Sunday evening.

The exciting teenager has impressed at NSW Cup level and will replace Jordan Rapana who is set to miss 6-8 weeks and will undergo minor surgery to repair a meniscus tear he sustained in last week’s 41-8 victory over Parramatta.

Rapana left the field early in contest and could hardly put any weight on his knee. He miraculously returned to the field in the second half and managed to play out the game despite looking sore.

Corey Horsburgh will also miss 6-8 weeks after picking up a groin injury, which sees Trey Mooney earn his first NRL appearance this year. Zac Hosking also returns to the starting side, with Ata Mariota shifting to the bench and Simi Sasagi dropping to the reserves.

Albert Hopoate (arm burn) is set to return for the Raiders in round seven, while Elliott Whitehead (calf) is on track to for a return in round 8-9.

The winless Titans have made just the one change, with Isaac Liu returning to the bench in place of Joe Stimson.
