Drugs and cash seized from O’Connor residence

A 41-year-old man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today, Friday 23 June, following a search warrant at his Macarthur Avenue residence in O’Connor.

About 6.20pm on Thursday 21 June, members from ACT Policing’s Territory Targeting Team and Drugs and Organised Crime Team executed the warrant, where the man was located at the residence.

During a search of the residence, police allegedly located 250 grams of cocaine – with an estimated value of $100,000 – two vials containing anabolic steroids, and a sum of cash.

Also located during the warrant were a 2018 Subaru WRX sedan, and three motorcycles – a 2015 Harley Davidson VRS, a 2020 Ducati Panigale, and a 2018 Yamaha YZF-R1. Police will be making an application to restrain these vehicles under the Confiscation of Criminal Assets Act 2003.

The man was arrested, and has been charged with drug trafficking, possession of anabolic steroids, and possession of property suspected of being proceeds of crime.
