Eighth ACT road death: woman dies in Lady Denman Drive motorcycle crash

A 33-year-old woman has died following a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Lady Denman Drive on Thursday night, marking the eighth road fatality in the ACT this year.

Around 9:30 pm on Thursday 31 October, police and emergency services responded to the incident near Scrivener Dam, where the motorcycle had left the road and struck a roadside barrier.

Witnesses and attending police administered first aid to the woman before ACT Ambulance Service paramedics transported her to the hospital in critical condition.

Tragically, the woman was pronounced deceased last night, Friday 1 November. Of the eight road deaths in the ACT this year, five have involved motorcyclists.
