Erindale Cakery Bakery owners, Clinton and Shubana Sheehan, have been in the business for 13 years.
In the industry for 26 years, Clinton has been baking since he left school in Young NSW at the age of 17. He started his apprenticeship at the Young Hot Bake and continued to gain experience from multiple bakeries around NSW and the ACT. Clinton had a family business in Young with his parents before the opportunity arose for him to purchase Erindale Bakery in Canberra. He had stayed close friends with the previous owners as he had worked with them in the past.
Within a few months of purchasing the business, he closed it temporarily to do a full refurbishment and new signage/name to put his own stamp on the shop.
Since then, we have built it up and made it into the successful business it is today. Over the years, we have won numerous awards for our products and have also won Bakery of the Year in ACT and NSW, and Outstanding Bakery/Cake Shop in the ACT.
Everything made in the Erindale Cakery Bakery is made fresh on site every night and always will be.
If we can’t make it, we don’t bake it! We like to support Australia businesses as much as we can. We buy in all Australian products, for example, fresh apples from Orange, Australian grown sultanas and mixed peel, etc.
All our Christmas baked goods are made from scratch and hand-finished in the bakery, from the pastries to the fillings. We have a wide variety of Christmas treats available including:
