Goulburn the 4th best place to invest in regional NSW

The nearby Southern Tablelands city of Goulburn is the fourth best area within regional NSW to invest in, according to Canstar’s Rising Stars Australia Property Market Report.

Situated between Canberra and Sydney, its convenient location has been helping to drive investment into the region, along with its significantly lower median house price in comparison to the two capital cities, the report states.

Goulburn Mulwaree Council’s marketing and events coordinator, Jessica Price, said people are flocking to Goulburn, and it’s easy to see why.

“Our marketing team at Council have a heavy focus on promoting Goulburn to the Sydney and Canberra markets, encouraging people to relocate to our city. We are actively promoting the message that we have the best of both worlds – all the conveniences you’d expect from larger cities, coupled with the picturesque landscapes and a great work/life balance,” Ms Price said.

“Those looking to invest in or make the move to the region will be spoiled for choice. Whether building, buying, investing or renting, there is an option for everyone.”

According to realestate.com.au, median property prices in Goulburn range from $605,000 for a larger house to $315,000 for smaller units, while the median rental price sits at around $450 per week for a four-bedroom home and $280 for a two-bedroom home.

After recently seeing an increase in infrastructure development from the NSW Government, the thriving regional city is undergoing significant developments, including at the Goulburn Hospital, the Aquatic and Leisure Centre, and the Performing Arts Centre.
