Gungahlin man wins $100,000 lottery prize

A Gungahlin man in his 50s says there’s no better way to end the working week than discovering a $100,000 win from the latest Lucky Lotteries draw.

The Canberra man scored the $100,000 first prize in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10446 drawn today, Friday 5 March 2021.

When an official from The Lott called the winner this afternoon, he had no idea he had scored the first prize.

“That’s phenomenal!” he said.

“It’s certainly not a bad way to end the week.

“I was just saying to a work colleague that I had won $17 in Lotto the other day. I was chuffed with that!”

When asked how he intended to enjoy his prize, the man bloke said he had one important person to tell first before making any concrete plans.

“I will definitely go out for a nice meal tonight to celebrate and break the news to my wife. I am sure she will have plenty ideas of how to spend it,” he said.

“It’s certainly come at a good time. We are buying a new home, so it will put a nice dent in the mortgage.”

The Gungahlin man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of four random numbers online.
