Instead of the usual Handmade Market at EPIC, organisers are taking Canberra’s popular design and food market online this weekend, from Saturday 21 March 10am to Sunday 22 March 4pm.
With the cancellation of major events due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Julie Nichols of Handmade Market encouraged patrons to “wander the virtual aisles of the Market from the comfort of your own home”. Shoppers will be able to browse and buy creations from many of the 270 Australian designers and makers who were preparing to attend Handmade Market this weekend.
“Now, more than ever, small businesses need our support,” Ms Nichols said.
Online shoppers will have access to special deals and discounts, live updates and prize giveaways.
